Justice After Marx: Seminar with Rainer Forst
Seminar with Professor Rainer Forst, Goethe University Frankfurt.
Professor Forst is a leading scholar of contemporary critical theory. He was supervised by Jürgen Habermas and Axel Honneth and is now professor in political theory and philosophy and co-director of the Center for Advanced Studies Justitia Amplificata. He has written extensively about tolerance and and justification. His latest book in German is Normativität und Macht - Zur Analyse sozialer Rechtfertigungsordnungen (Suhrkamp, 2015) and in English The Power of Tolerance, together with Wendy Brown (Columbia University Press, 2014).
The title of Professor Forst's talk is "Justice After Marx." As preparation, participants are encouraged to read Rainer Forst “Noumenal Power” in The Journal of Political Philosophy: Volume 23, Number 2, 2015, pp. 111–127.
