Feminist Lunch Talk on sexism, bodily autonomy and democracy

Professor Hanne Petersen from the Faculty of Law, University of Copenhagen, will finish the series of Feminist Lunch Talks organised by the UCPH Coordination for Gender Research this autumn.

In her presentation 2 December, 12:00-13:00, Hanne Petersen will discuss sexism, bodily autonomy and democracy in a digital and neoliberal era.

Based on work in progress, she will present reflections on research – from a perspective of legal culture – on the development of the concept of sexism, the understanding of bodily autonomy and development of democracy in a market society where work is becoming ever more precarious, sexuality has become commercialised, and citizens’ rights have been weakened, while political culture has become digitalised.

The talk will be hosted as an online event with a Zoom link sent to the participants. It is free to participate, but please note that registration is required.
